Les Brown
Les Brown (born 1945) is an American motivational speaker, former politician, and author whose electrifying stage presence and deeply personal story have made him one of the most sought-after speakers in the world. Born a twin in low-income Liberty City, Miami, and adopted at six weeks old by Mamie Brown — a single woman with limited education but an enormous heart — Les overcame being labeled "educable mentally retarded" as a child to become one of the highest-paid speakers in America.
In 1986, Les Brown was broke and sleeping on the floor of his office when he decided to pursue a career as a full-time motivational speaker. By the early 1990s, his company, Les Brown Unlimited, Inc., was earning $4 million a year from speaking tours and the sale of motivational programs. In 1989, he received the National Speakers Association's highest honor: the Council of Peers Award of Excellence (CPAE).
Brown's bestselling book Live Your Dreams and his renowned catchphrase — "It's possible!" — have inspired millions to push past their limitations. A former Ohio state legislator and television host, Brown brings a unique combination of political savvy, street wisdom, and spiritual depth to his teachings on achievement, purpose, and resilience.
