Bob Proctor
Bob Proctor (1934–2022) was a Canadian-American author, speaker, and one of the most recognized figures in the personal development industry. Best known for his New York Times bestseller You Were Born Rich and his appearance in the groundbreaking film The Secret (2006), Proctor spent more than 60 years teaching people how to transform their thinking and unlock their potential for wealth and success.
Proctor's own transformation began in 1961 when he was 26 years old, deeply in debt, and working as a firefighter. A copy of Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich changed his life — within a year, he went from earning $4,000 to over $175,000, and within five years he was a millionaire. This experience became the foundation of his lifelong teaching career.
Through the Proctor Gallagher Institute, Bob Proctor taught seminars worldwide, reaching audiences in nearly every country. His teachings centered on the power of paradigm shifts — changing the deeply ingrained mental programming that governs our results. Proctor's charismatic style and decades of experience made complex ideas about the mind and human potential accessible to millions.
