About the Author

Nathaniel Branden, Ph.D. (1930–2014) was a Canadian-American psychotherapist and the pioneer of self-esteem psychology. He has done more than any other theorist to awaken awareness of the importance of self-esteem to human well-being. He authored twenty books translated into eighteen languages with more than 4 million copies in print, including The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem and How to Raise Your Self-Esteem.
