Philosophers and poets through the ages have tried to examine the powerful concept of human love. Love has often been described as life's prime motivator, yet it remains one of our most puzzling experiences.

The late Dr. Leo Buscaglia was perhaps one of the greatest experts on love — a man who studied it intensely for most of his professional life as a professor at the University of Southern California. Moved by a student's suicide to contemplate human disconnectedness, he launched a non-credit class called Love 1A that quickly became one of USC's most popular courses, forming the basis of a runaway bestselling book and a decades-long career of speaking, television appearances, and audio programs.

In our current culture that seems so deeply divided, his message is needed now more than ever. Leo Buscaglia had a rare talent for showing us how to experience, understand, and share more love in our lives — and this ten-volume library collects the very best of his recorded work.

Ten Volumes of Leo's Best Work

Volume One — What Is Love? Live and studio segments exploring Leo's foundational answer, including a classic interview with PBS personality John Callaway and segments from The Way of the Bull.

Volume Two — Loving Yourself First. Leo teaches self-love as the foundation for giving love to others, addressing how it becomes the main path out of loneliness.

Volume Three — Qualities of Loving Relationships. An overview of what Leo considered essential qualities of love, with scientific perspectives and a classic Callaway interview segment.

Volume Four — Love Is Communication. Study after study shows communication is the single biggest factor in the success or failure of any relationship — Leo explains why and how to master it.

Volume Five — Love Is Honest. Leo addresses the biggest myths about love, why relationships fail, and how living honestly is the truest expression of love.

Volume Six — Love Is Letting Go. On jealousy, attachment, and the paradox that letting go of rigid control is the most loving and freeing thing we can do.

Volume Seven — Love Is Intimate. Leo clears up the confusion between physical and emotional intimacy and explains why one depends on the other.

Volume Eight — Love Is Forgiving. Why authentic relationships require saying sorry — and why love is also "for giving" freely to others without restriction.

Volume Nine — Love Is Joyful and Spontaneous. Leo demonstrates through these classic segments how to bring joy, aliveness, and spontaneity into your own life.

Volume Ten — Love in Times of Suffering. Leo's unforgettable reflections on suffering, death, and meaning, including his classic story "The Fall of Freddie the Leaf" — one of Nightingale-Conant's most beloved recordings of all time.
