Kahlil Gibran's The Forerunner — the visionary predecessor to his beloved masterwork The Prophet. Published in 1920, this heartfelt and compassionate collection of 24 parables and poems draws from the deep well of Eastern wisdom to illuminate timeless human experiences: love, justice, freedom, and the quest for spiritual truth.

Written in the same spirit of profound humanity that defines all of Gibran's work, The Forerunner weaves morality tales rich with symbolic imagery — kings and hermits, saints and slaves, animals that speak and winds that laugh — into a meditation on what it truly means to live with wisdom and purpose.

  • 24 parables and poems on love, justice, spirituality, and the depths of human nature
  • A direct predecessor to The Prophet, sharing its lyrical depth and timeless spiritual power
  • Eastern symbolic storytelling at its most accessible, moving, and universally human
  • The second of Gibran's four celebrated English-language works

What You'll Learn

This is a literary and spiritual audio experience. Listeners encounter Gibran's meditations on courage, love, freedom, justice, and human nature through 24 beautifully crafted parables and poems — each a window into a deeper understanding of what it means to live fully and purposefully.
